Abstract

Case control study of 102 infants admitted in the same hospital. This study indicates that infants with pyloric stenosis were less likely to have been breastfed during the first week of life. These data are not consistent with those of Dodge and Webb. See Dodge J.A., Infant hypertrophic pyloric stenosis in Belfast, 1957-1964. Arch Dis Child, 1975;50:171-8 and Webb A.R., et al, Infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis in South Glamorgan, 1970-9, Arch Dis Child 1983;58:586-90.
