Abstract
This Dutch study has many points in common with study 0129. 105 infants were breastfed and 102 were bottle fed. Infants were examined at 3,7 and 18 months of age with the Bayley scale of psychomotor infant development. The main conclusions are similar to the conclusions of the previous study. At 7 months, although the post natal PCBs exposure through breastfeeding had a negative effect on the psycho-motor development, breastfed infants never scored significantly lower compared to formula fed infants.
Diskussion
We will probably refer to this study in future because follow up studies are being performed in school age children.
