Study suggesting that when the father is occupationally exposed to pesticides, fungicides, fertilisers, etc, his children have an increased risk of acute lymphoblastic leukemia before the age of 9 years.

The underlying mechanisms for such results are unknown. One of the practical implications is that the men should participate in the programmes of preconceptional preparation aiming at reducing the amount of fat soluble synthetic contaminants accumulated over the years in the adipose tissues.
